Our first stop is the famous Buddha Park, built with the fertile imagination of the ascetic artist with the highly unusual statues. Then off to the Laotian National Ethnic Cultural Park to observe the many groups and learn of their history.
Arriving in Vientiane visiting the City Pillar at Wat Sri Muang ..then Hor Pra Keo, once the home of the Emerald Buddha. We drive on to the Presidents Palace, based on Versailles..and then Victory Monument. Take a break for lunch - at a place of your chosing….local..or European fare - our drivers know the places!
In the afternoon you will visit The Black Stupa and Wat Sri Saket where your guide will explain the history and various stories associated with these historical sites.
SHOPPING! The endless choices - gold and silver antiques - crystal and ceramics - and finally the famous Morning Market where you will get lost roaming around the endless stalls offering local and imported goods at bargain prices - our guide will ensure your safe delivery back to Nong Khai and remind you to visit the Duty Free Shops at the border before leaving Laos.
Arriving back at the hotel you have time to freshen up before being taken for dinner at The Oudomrod Restaurant, over looking the Mekong River to Laos when you can enjoy the sunset and recall the day whilst taking a final look at the country you have hopefully enjoyed visiting.
